WTF? Women: How to Survive 101 of the Worst F*#!-Ing Situations with the Ladies

WTF? Women: How to Survive 101 of the Worst F*#!-Ing Situations with the Ladies - Gregory Bergman Bunch of misogynist, sexist crap. I think you need to be funny to write comedy. This is obviously not funny but wahing at the women who won't kiss your ass.
Ultraviolet - R.J. Anderson Read. I like R.J. Anderson's stories but I don't remember them. That's probably telling?
Bite Me - Parker Blue This was part of a Free Advanced Copy from Net Galley.

This will be a short review as I just didn't get into the book, this is mainly due to the writing style. For me the story was predictable. The protagonist Val Shapiro is typical teen nothing about her stood as memorable. This is o.k. for a childrens book. I found problems with the text and writing style, mainly I felt it was a bit jumpy, sentences could have been shortened or unnecessary words taken out. It needs punch at times and for me it didn't hold it.

Characters came across a bit flat, lacking in character growth, they needed more substance and depth to them. I felt that it was trying to edge for that but for some reason the writer didn't go that way. Characters also seemed to only show up to further the plot, to provide no real depth to their existence within the plot. At times it also read like fan fiction.

The positives are that it will be entertaining to a young reading audience, the book series is a very easy read. Though many of it reminded me of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the characterisations were reminiscent of characters from the show. Obviously a good point but for those who have seen it, it might come off as a rip off.

It just wasn't for me.
Knife - R.J. Anderson Loved it Love this book. I really love Paul and Knife, they are so great together. The story kept me on edge and page after page it kept me wanting more. Now just to read the rest of the series.
The Toymaker - Jeremy De Quidt Brilliant. I was captivated from start to finish. This book is amazing, the characters and the story so enthralling, I love Koenig, he makes me swoon really. I felt he was an awesome character and so was Katta. Stefan was a bit flat so was Mattieus but these made the story for me. I want more from this author. I will definitely pass this book on to others. It is beautifully written.

ETA: I rebought it in hardcover because I loved it. And I'd do it again!!!
Wondrous Strange - Lesley Livingston This book was a fair read. The title intrigued me and made me want to read it. I expected more and only about 70% through did it really pick up speed. I was a bit annoyed with the relationship between Sonny and Kelley to begin with. Stalker does not equal bad boy. I didn't like Kelley much until the end, before then she felt more of a plot device than an actual lead character. Good book will read sequels.
The Average American Male - Chad Kultgen Nope.
Doctor Faustus - Thomas Mann, John E. Woods I love this play it plays on life and mortality.
Cat O'Nine Tails (Cat Royal) - Julia Golding I think this was my favourite out of all the series. I'll still collect them if they are still being written. Though I don't think they make the original hardbacks anymore :(.
Den of Thieves - Julia Golding Cat Royal is my kind of heroine.
Cat Among the Pigeons - Julia Golding On my reread list. I bet anyone who follows me now is regretting it lol. probably clogging up your feeds.
The Diamond of Drury Lane - Julia Golding I love Julia's book so much so I may reread them. It's been 2 years.
The Lightning Thief - Rick Riordan ETA: We shall not speak of this guy who enamoured me so much that I lost sigh of good books.

I said I liked it to make him happy. I fooled myself.
The Blackstone Key: Number 1 in series (Mary Finch) - Rose Melikan It was ok if a little bloated.
Under: Revised Edition - Bradd Quinn Nope
Daphne - Justine Picardie I'm currently reading this. I hadn't realised Daphne Du Maurier is an actual author when I started it. So I'm currently reading it like a fiction novel. I have the book with the girl with the umbrella on it. So we'll see how it goes.
